Shield Accident Management announces Simon Community Northern Ireland as chosen charity for 2024

Feb 13, 2024News

Shield Accident Management is delighted to announce the Simon Community Northern Ireland as the chosen charity for 2024. Simon Community NI is a vital organization that provides specialized support services across Northern Ireland, focusing on homelessness prevention, accommodation services, health, well-being, practice development, and young people’s support services.

The current homelessness crisis in Northern Ireland is a major issue, with 26,310 individuals and families classified as homeless, and this number continues to rise. The escalating costs of living have placed many on the brink of homelessness, making the work of Simon Community NI even more crucial.

Along with Moy Auto Services, P.Haughey Solicitors, and The Bodystop NI, Team Shield will be taking part in fundraising initiatives throughout the year, including participating in the Belfast City Marathon on May 5th, 2024.

Simon Community NI’s impactful work includes providing 464 warm beds in temporary accommodation sites every night, making a daily difference in the lives of thousands of people each year. Their community-led homelessness solutions and support services are only made possible through it’s dedicated network of supporters each year.

Key Information about Simon Community NI:

  • Vision: A society where everyone has a home.
  • Mission: To end homelessness for people in need.
