Members of team Shield proudly presented a generous cheque amounting to £15,870.88 to the Helping Hand Charity RBHSC at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children last week. This fantastic sum was the culmination of dedicated fundraising throughout 2023, and testament to the collaborative efforts of Shield Accident Management, Moy Auto Services, The Body Stop NI Ltd, P. Haughey & Co Solicitors, and all who contributed to the Shield Christmas raffle.
The Helping Hand Charity serves as an independent fundraising entity exclusively dedicated to “The Children’s Hospital,” a cause deeply cherished by Team Shield. As healthcare systems face escalating demands, the need for additional funding becomes paramount to furnish state-of-the-art equipment, fuel groundbreaking research, facilitate educational initiatives, and cater to the immediate requirements of children and their families.
“Supporting the amazing team at the hospital this year has been a privilege, Helping Hand was chosen as the Shield charity for this year past, as it is one close to the hearts of many of our team members. Helping Hand provides unbelievable support to sick children and their parents in their time of need, so we were delighted to make this donation that will go towards new equipment, research and helping families across Northern Ireland,” said Stephen McCann, Office Manager at Shield Accident Management.
